MM#434--The Radical Threat: How Antifa's Violence Undermines American Democracy

Former President Donald Trump's recent designation of Antifa as a "major terrorist organization" has sent shockwaves through political circles. Speaking from Truth Social during his UK visit, Trump announced plans to investigate Antifa's funding sources—a move that coincides with disturbing revelations about the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Investigators have discovered Antifa-related engravings on the shooter's rifle and bullet casings, including references to "Bella Ciao," an anti-fascist anthem. The 22-year-old suspect, described as having "pronounced leftist views," maintained a romantic relationship with a transgender roommate and may have been motivated by opposition to Kirk's conservative stances on gender identity, immigration, and Christianity. While formal organizational ties to Antifa remain unconfirmed, authorities continue investigating these troubling connections.

Journalist Andy Ngo's definitive work, "Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy," provides crucial context for understanding this dangerous movement. Ngo—who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage after being assaulted by Antifa members in 2019—documents how Antifa operates as a sophisticated revolutionary force rather than merely "street hooligans." His research reveals a pan-leftist coalition of militant anarchists and communists united by their desire to destroy American institutions and bring about revolutionary change. The movement's deliberate use of broad definitions of "fascism" allows them to justify violence against virtually any perceived opponent.

America stands at a precarious crossroads, with political violence threatening our democratic foundations. When analyzing recent tragedies—from mass shootings to targeted killings—disturbing patterns of ideological extremism emerge. As we navigate these troubled waters, Andy Ngo's reporting offers us invaluable insights into the forces working to destabilize our society.

Our nation's future depends on our collective ability to recognize and reject extremism in all its forms especially from this radical left group.

Welcome to the Theory to Action podcast, where we examine the timeless treasures of wisdom from the great books in less time, to help you take action immediately and ultimately to create and lead a flourishing life. Now here's your host, david Kaiser.

Speaker 2:

Hello, I am David and welcome back to another Mojo Minute. As always, let's begin with the opening quote. I am pleased to inform our many USA patriots that I am designating Antifa a sick, dangerous radical left disaster as a major terrorist organization. I will also be strongly recommending that those funding Antifa be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter. And that was the 47th president of the United States, donald Trump, writing on Truth Social just a few days ago while over in the UK on a state visit with the king and the queen.

Speaker 2:

And the reasoning behind Donald Trump's excellent move here is because, based on recent evidence coming out in the press about Charlie Kirk's shooter, the picture of a motive is becoming more and more clear as more and more research is being done. The suspect and we will withhold his name again, the shooter holds pronounced leftist views, with possible ties to Antifa, with symbolism, and certainly now conclusively was in a romantic relationship with a transgender roommate. As of some 48 hours ago, investigators were probing whether the shooter's anger at Kirk's views on gender identity or politics was the motive. And while there's no established organizational ties so far to Antifa or direct actions attributed to the trans community. Beyond the shooter's personal relationships. There is much, much more evidence to go through and there are certainly very, very troubling elements which is starting to become a trail as investigators keep exploring these links. Now again, just like we've talked about before, investigators found Antifa-related slogans and left-wing messaging engraved on the shooter's rifle and bullet casings, including references to Bella Chao, an anti-fascist resistance song often associated with Antifa, kind of their national anthem you could say anthem, you could say. The bullets also featured trolling and meme culture and anti-fascist catchphrases, drawing speculation about radical political motivations from the shooter. Shooter and suspect have been described by authorities as an alleged Antifa sympathizer who acted out of ideological opposition to Kirk's view on conservatism and anti-immigration stances. That is the official line. I would also say that the shooter probably did not like Charlie Kirk's very public Christian stances.

Speaker 2:

Now back to Trump and his administration. Now back to Trump and his administration no-transcript. And hate speech is very, very hard to categorize and police. So I'm not sure if the president is just getting bad advice on this or if there really is a way to police hate speech Very, very hard, I believe, especially with a First Amendment right. But certainly you can't shout fire in a crowded theater. But the funding element. The funding element is what I'm really interested in, because we know we have links for George Soros and his ilk bad actors around the world that have been funding these radical and extreme left-wing groups that conduct violence on US soil for decades and decades.

Speaker 2:

Andy Ngo, who we've talked about from this podcast before, andy Ngo is an excellent young journalist and he has written the book on how radical Antifa is as a group. That title of the book is Unmasked and Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy and we will get to that book shortly. But back to this alleged shooter. The dude has heavy ties to the trans community. Like we said before, the shooter was in a romantic relationship with a transgender roommate. That transgender roommate is talking to authorities. He was identified as transitioning from a male to a female. Authorities are certainly considering whether the shooter's motive was fueled by perceived anti-LGBTQ stances by Kirk. There was many Discord messages indicating there was some collusion with the shooter's roommate and so far the roommate has been cooperative, like we've said. But he's provided those message logs that help lead to the rifle's recovery and it certainly clarified the shooter's intent. Now we have talked about Antifa before from this microphone and I realized, going back in our archives, that we had not actually done a formal review on the most well-known book that describes this heinous revolutionary organization Again, andy Ngo and his book Unmasked Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy.

Speaker 2:

This book is the Bible on this very bad organization. It describes the history, the tactics, the ideology of the whole Antifa movement in America, especially from a perspective of a journalist who is reported on and actually has been physically attacked by these radicals, these Antifa activists. Yes, indeed, andy Ngo was assaulted by this group in 2019. Actually has put out the video, the closed circuit video, of him running full sprint down several streets and three pursuers finally catch up to him who were in Tifa. And they catch him. They assault him badly. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was in the hospital for a long time and thankfully that did not break Andy Ngo. He healed up. He came back to continue to cover that radical group and continue to expose them. Certainly he takes better safety measures now, but, boy, this guy has the courage of a Charlie Kirk and just keeps coming because he knows the truth is this group is violently dangerous. Truth is this group is violently dangerous. He describes many incidences as being violent, especially with this Antifa group, and especially when they all got lathered up during the summer of 2020, during the riots of 2020.

Speaker 2:

He provides interview after interview with individuals associated with or targeted by Antifa, even blends his own experiences with documentary evidence to suggest that Antifa is a dangerous revolutionary force aiming to undermine American democracy. In fact, let's go to the book Unmasked and hear from Andy Ngo himself. Go on to the book. Unmasked is the end result of years of reporting on Antifa, even before I understood what they were. It has taken me to the streets of Portland, seattle, new York, london and more. As any good journalist should know, you don't want to become part of the story. However, whether I wanted to or not, antifa decided to make me part of their story.

Speaker 2:

After my 2019 beating, I became Antifa's public enemy number one. They have sent me death threats, stalked me and even showed up at my family's home on several occasions. They have threatened to shoot me or set me on fire. They have released my exact whereabouts in real time on social media. They've threatened my friends. The criminal threats are reported to local police, but no one ever is held accountable.

Speaker 2:

Through analysis of never-before-seen Antifa documents, unmasked reveals some of the key players behind this movement and the strategy they have developed to recruit, train and radicalize followers and the public. Street violence is only one part of their planned revolution. We ignore or whitewash Antifa at liberty's peril. Now this book has done a great service for the world because it has exposed Antifa as an organized movement responsible for street violence, property damage and intimidation against conservatives and all its perceived enemies I would even include anybody who's vocally courageous about their Christianity. Antifa hates Christians. Now Andy Ngo details his own encounters, including being attacked during the Portland protest and positioning himself as a victim of the leftist extremism. Now the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk, those etchings in the bullet casings and the songs that Antifa supports likely leads to possibly to a motive and to the shooter's support, whether formal or not, of Antifa, this group and all its related subsidiaries. They all support physical violence. They have to be ferreted out. Was this kid, this 22-year-old radicalized on discord among the trans community, who blends into the murky world of Antifa and these other revolutionary and radical groups? Who knows? We don't know yet, but but we need to get to the bottom of these radical groups and, thank God, donald Trump declared them a domestic terrorist organization because of their physical violence.

Speaker 2:

This group, antifa, gets its name and its origin from the interwar period between World War I and II in Italy and Germany and the rise of fascism there. They hate anything to the right of their radical, violent worldview. To the right of their radical, violent worldview. It's that far to the left that they hate anything to the right. It's a very warped and depraved worldview beyond anyone's reasonable comprehension. They desire no civil society whatsoever. They want just pure chaos, pure anarchy, no rule of law. In fact. Here's another pull quote going back to the book. So what exactly are the Antifa and what do they want?

Speaker 2:

Antifa, pronounced Antifa and short for anti-fascist, is a relatively new American phenomenon, but their ideology and violent strategies have been honed and refined for decades in Europe. Simply put, antifa is an ideology and a movement of radical, pan-leftist politics whose adherents are mainly militant anarchists and communist or collective anarchists. A smaller fraction of them are socialists, who organize through political groups like the Democratic Socialist of America and others. Labels aside, their defining characteristics are a militant opposition to free markets and the desire to destroy the United States and its institutions, culture and history. Contrary to what many on the right believe, they are not liberal, though that does not mean that they haven't made inroads in transforming and radicalizing the Democratic Party. They certainly have. What unites this group of leftists is its opposition to so-called fascism, though, importantly, what is defined as fascism is left wide open. This is intentional, as it allows Antifa to justify all manner of violence and extremism in the name of opposing fascism. And in fact, here's our takeaway. Here's our takeaway nugget of wisdom.

Speaker 2:

Going back to the book for a short pull quote, what my mentors failed to see at the time was the Antifa's sophisticated strategy to destabilize society using propaganda, radicalization, violence and even electoral politics. It was always wrong to reduce Antifa to a ragtag group of street hooligans. Behind their violence is a plan to destroy the nation state, america in particular, and to bring about a revolution that leads to their vision of utopia. And guess what? There is no utopia. This leads to civil war. This leads to extreme tribalism. This leads to Germany in the 1930s. This leads to the mass killing of Jews in World War II. This leads to Mao's communist killing of over 60 million of his countrymen. This leads to the killing fields of Cambodia. This leads to Rwanda. This leads nowhere good.

Speaker 2:

We have to get to the truth of things in this country. We have to get to the truth of things. In this country. There is no longer your truth and my truth. We have to get to objective facts and Andy's book helps us get closer to those facts. Andy's reporting is cutting edge. Even in the last three to five years he has identified that there's a weird collusion of trans folks that are a sub part of Antifa, often going on the back of the online label Tran Tifa. They have been linked to property damage, harassment and physical confrontations. This book plays in the intersection between identity politics and very militant radical activism.

Speaker 2:

So today's Mojo Minute, read Andy Ngo's book Unmasked Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy. It's a quick read. It's on Audible. You can also read Andy's stuff online at the Post Millennial and on X and on his Substack page and Geo Comment. This is the information you won't get from the Main Street legacy press. They're dead. The legacy press hasn't been relevant for the last 10 years. In fact, many of them have been carrying water for the radical left violent wing of the political party, of their political party, which is mostly 90% Democrat. Anyhow, they've been carrying that water for some 50 to 60 years. We can trace that back through a thread all the way to the weather underground and the Black Panthers in the late 1960s and early 70s. So let's all read Andy Ngo's book to get closer to the truth, to know what we're dealing with. He does great reporting and doesn't jump to conclusions, but presents facts backed by primary evidence from the primary sources. Again, follow him on X or Twitter or whatever we're calling it these days. I still call it Twitter sometimes. Read his stuff.

Speaker 2:

Pray for our country. Please pray for our country because we're a nation on edge, we're a nation on the brink. When half the country is celebrating the murder of an innocent man, publicly speaking on a college campus, like Charlie Kirk, or the heinous, savage, brutal killing of the Ukrainian immigrant in Charlotte, yurina Zerushka, and so many of our school shootings are by trans shooters over the last three to four years, we're now getting breaking evidence that the alleged shooter for the person who was stalking Brett Kavanaugh, our Supreme Court justice, was a trans person. We need to pray for our country because, again, we're a nation on edge, a nation in deep crisis. We have to be able to talk through this. We have to get to the truth, the real truth of things, objective truth. Everybody has to buy into objective truth. Andy's book helps us get closer to that. Let's read it, let's certainly pray and, most importantly, let's keep fighting the good fight.
