As is our custom, let's begin with a quote from two of America's most respected journalists an unflinching and explosive reckoning with one of the most fateful decisions in American political history Joe Biden's run for re-election despite evidence of his serious decline, amid desperate efforts to hide the extent of that deterioration. In Greek tragedy, the protagonist's effort to avoid his fate is what seals his fate. In 2024, american politics became a Greek tragedy. Joe Biden launched his successful 2020 bid for the White House with the stated goal of saving the nation from the second Trump presidential term. He, his family and his senior aides were so convinced that only he could beat Trump again. They lied to themselves, allies and the public about his condition and his limitations. At his debate with Trump on June 27, 2024, the consequences of that deception were exposed to the world. It was shocking and upsetting. Now the full unsettling truth is being told for the first time time.
Speaker 2:Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson take us behind closed doors and into private Police. Police, hold on, hold on. What in the world Is this the same Jake Tapper who actually covered up and carried water for four long years for Joe Biden as president. The same Jake Tapper, cnn. Jake Tapper right that, jake Tapper? I am sorry folks, but I remember numerous instances where TapTap appeared to downplay and deflect concerns about Joe Biden's cognitive health, night after night after night, especially during the 2020 election campaign. For example, in a 2020 CNN interview with Laura Trump, tapper suggested Biden's struggles on the campaign trail or, I'm sorry, trump suggested Biden's struggles on the campaign trail indicated a severe cognitive decline. Tapper forcefully pushes back, accusing her of mocking Biden's well-documented stutter and questioning her qualifications to make such an assessment. He framed the discussion as a defense of Biden's lifelong speech impediment, rather than engaging with the broader concerns about Biden's mental sharpness. Additionally, tapper repeatedly promoted articles like the one from the Atlantic that highlighted Biden's stutter as an exclamation for his verbal stumbles, suggesting any type of skepticism of declined narratives was not warranted. I mean holy smokes.
Speaker 2:So this jerk, this horrific journalist, news anchor for CNN, jake Tapper he has indeed written a new book titled Original Sin President Biden's Decline, its Cover-Up and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, and it's co-authored with the Axios reporter, alex Thompson. I mean the gall, the hubris, the absolute disregard for any amount of shame, any amount of shame. Jake Tapper, of all people, is going to write the first book on the Biden mental health decline. Man, oh man, a Chevy, this is so rich. What does Amazon say about this book? The book slated for publication on May 20, 2025 by Penguin Press. Oh, here we go.
Speaker 2:This book promises to explore what the authors describe as a concerted effort to conceal Joe Biden's cognitive decline during his presidency and his fateful decision to seek re-election in 2024. Yes, jake, how do you actually want to write the book about the cover-up when you were at the center of the very cover-up man? Amazon says. Based on 200 interviews with White House insiders, democratic leaders and others, it positions itself as an expose of the serious decline the Tapper and Thompson argue was evident, yet obscured by Biden, his family and his inner circle. Oh, holy smokes, this is just rich. This is just all the gall, the hubris, oh, and the Axios reporter is helping him with the book. I'm sure the truth is going to be revealed now that we have the Axios reporter chiming in.
Speaker 2:Folks, honestly, we love good books. We have been waiting for the great books to be written about this awful, this dreadful, this last four years of the worst president in modern American history. But we will not. We cannot subject you guys to just a bunch of lies and rubbish and garbage. From one of the most corrupt reporters in the business, I mean holy smokes. Jay Tapper was borderline, if not all the way. Msnbc, I mean out there. Msnbc, I mean out there. Let's go back to the rubbish that this book is talking about, from Amazon, revealing how big the problem was and how many people knew about it, from the White House staffers at the highest to the lowest levels, to the leaders of Congress, the cabinet, from governors to donors to Hollywood players. The truth is finally being told. You guys didn't tell us that for four years. You denied it every time we asked about it.
Speaker 2:What you will learn makes President Biden's decision to run for re-election seem shockingly narcissistic, self-delusional and reckless. A desperate bet that went bust in part of the larger act of extended public deception that has few precedents, man gosh. The story the authors tell raises fundamental issues. You bet it does. Raises fundamental issues of accountability and responsibility that will continue for decades. Oh, I'm gagging Vomit in my mouth. This is incredible. The nerve of these folks. I mean you just got to be kidding me. Oh, listen to this, listen to this Amazon's page. The irony is biting. In the name of defeating what they called an existential threat to democracy, biden and his inner circle ensured it, tossing aside his implicit promise to serve only for one term, denying the existence of health issues. The nation had been watching for years. Yes, dooming the Democrats to defeat the decision to run again.
Speaker 2:The original sin of this president led to a campaign of denial and gaslighting, leading directly to Donald Trump's return to power, and all that has happened as a consequence. Rarely does hubris meet nemesis more explosively. Wherever you stand on the political spectrum, original sin is essential. Reading my Lord, have mercy. These people would lie directly to Christ himself. This is just over the top, beyond the pale. This begs way too much. To boil all this down, jake Tapper is writing a book on the decline of the president that he once dismissed and kept dismissing for four years as a conspiracy or a mischaracterization. This is beyond hypocritical. The word hypocritical does not capture what was being done for four years.
Speaker 2:Folks, this is not Woodrow Wilson, 18 months, his wife, the husband. Woodrow Wilson gets a stroke, has a stroke. Terrible, the wife has a stroke. Terrible, the wife concerned. World War, I not sure what to do. Covers it up, essentially runs the presidency for the last 18 months. Doesn't let anybody come in and see the president and the White House press corps at the time. They don't say anything. Everybody's in on the cover-up 18 months. Terrible shouldn't have ever happened. Everybody's in on the cover-up 18 months. Terrible should have never happened. Folks, this is four years in the 21st century, with spotlights and people asking repeated questions day after day after day.
Speaker 2:Tapper was one of the main guys participating in the media cover-up. Never pressed Biden on his fitness to only then pivot when it became undeniable. After the June 2024 debate, tapper, I think, co-moderated that. Certainly. That debate was the turning point preceded Biden's exit from the race because everybody watched it. So that's when Jake effectively tapped out.
Speaker 2:But my gosh, the whole world was lighting up social media. That night, every social media platform in the world was lit up. Everybody, including me, was telling everybody get Biden off the stage. This is cruelty to an old person, let alone someone trying to run for president of the United States. I mean, it's just. This is disgusting. Now it's really funny that the book is titled Original Sin. I think we need to rename the book as Propaganda Press. The Propaganda Press is Sin. That's the real story.
Speaker 2:We hope someone will write the real story, write the real book that has a hell of a lot more integrity than Jake Tapper, because there was a deliberate cover-up of Joe Biden's lack of mental fitness, going all the way back to the 2020 campaign, when he was kept in the basement, and then for the four long years of his whole presidency, when we heard nothing. But he's fine, don't ask anything. There's no problem here, nothing to see here. You guys are just hateful people. You guys on the right are just hateful people. Tapper absolutely contributed to that cover-up. He was at the center of it.
Speaker 2:So in today's Mojo Minute, we will not be covering bogus rewriting of history that lies to the American people in these books that, evidently, are going to start coming out. We're going to vet them all. We will wait on the true and accurate stories from real journalists who have a sense of accountability to get their facts straight, who want to write the truth. Folks, there's a lot of rubbish out there. There's a lot of lies, a lot of lies pressed into book format, and we're going to weed them all out. We're going to weed out the good from the bad Folks. This one's bad. This one stinks. This is disgusting. Jake Tapper is not to be trusted, and with that we're tapping out, but as always, we're encouraging you to keep fighting the good fight.
