Could America be enduring its most catastrophic presidency yet?

Join me, David Kaiser, as I boldly challenge the efficacies and impacts of the current administration's policies in this "Liberty Minute" podcast.

This episode is a rigorous examination of an array of issues ranging from the Supreme Court's dismissal of student loan forgiveness to the problematic implementation of the Infrastructure Investment Act. With only a pittance of its funds actually reaching infrastructure projects, the Act serves as a stark example of mismanagement. We go beyond the surface to dissect the administration's foreign policy blunders, with particular emphasis on the Afghanistan withdrawal—a debacle that resulted in the tragic loss of American lives and may haunt the nation’s conscience for years to come.

Key Points from the Episode:

  • Amidst these pressing domestic concerns, the complex dynamics of US-Israel relations under President Biden take center stage.
  • Not everyone is aware of the seismic shift happening with Canada's oil exports and the ripple effects it could have on global energy politics.
  • I dive into the contentious decision to halt arms sales to Israel and explore Biden's historical frictions with Israeli leaders through the enlightening insights of Barry Schwartz.
  • The episode doesn't shy away from tough questions about the president's moral clarity and the implications for one of America's most significant international alliances.
  • As the nation looks ahead to the presidential debate and the need for transformative leadership, I invite you to reflect with me on the urgent call for a leader capable of rejuvenating the American Republic.

Please pray for our country and this man because he has clearly lost his way!

Speaker 1:

Those are the drums of liberty. Those drums are being overrun by the worst presidency in modern American history, perhaps all of American history. We talked about it earlier this week in part one. Let's talk about some more reason why this presidency is becoming the worst in part two of this Liberty Minute.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to the Theory to Action podcast, where we examine the timeless treasures of wisdom from the great books in less time, to help you take action immediately and ultimately to create and lead a flourishing life. Now here's your host, David Kaiser.

Speaker 1:

Hello, I am David and welcome back to another Liberty Minute. Earlier this week we talked about how bad this administration is in part, one of the worst president in all of American history and in that Liberty Minute we covered just two of the main reasons why Joe Biden will try and I emphasize the word try to make an appeal as to why he should be reelected. We even tried to help make the case for Uncle Joe with student loan forgiveness that could help him win reelection, but unfortunately the Supreme Court smacked him down on that. One. Six to three Wasn't even the usual five to four decision which we've come to expect out of the John Roberts-led court. John Roberts always the institutionalist over there at the Supreme Court. He will preserve the Supreme Court as the country burns down.

Speaker 1:

Then we tried to help Uncle Joe by saying America's rescue plan that was passed way back in 2021 to the tune of $1.9 trillion with a T, but unfortunately we resolved that wouldn't work to get him re-elected because there's very little evidence that any of that crazy amount of spending actually actually helped. Very little did very little helped americans get back to work after the pandemic. In fact, there's actually many studies out showing that the crazy amount of spending. Very little helped Americans get back to work after the pandemic. In fact, there's actually many studies out showing that the crazy amount of spending actually slowed down the country, contributed to unemployment throughout the country, allowing for workers to remain home for very prolonged times. So it really didn't help anything. Most especially didn't help in the years 2022 and 2023. But here's an early nugget of wisdom. What usually happens when government spends crazy amounts of money? Very quickly we get inflation, that dreaded word, that dreaded word, that dreaded word from the 70s and 80s well, the early 80s, that is. So we get inflation and that's exactly what we got. That's what we're having now. We actually covered inflation in more detail with a great book by steve forbes which goes by the same name inflation. So please check out liberty, minute number seven, liberty, minute number seven inflation uh, the golden yardstick.

Speaker 1:

Now our second point that we tried to help out joe biden in his reelection effort. We said he could tout, possibly he could tout infrastructure investment, the Infrastructure Investment Act of 2021. Uncle Joe could be out there talking about infrastructure here and there and everywhere, like FDR in the 1930s and the US Congress was supposed to spend $1.2 trillion. That's trillion with a T again. But instead, once the GOP got ahold of it, it ballooned up to 2.65 trillion, again with a T 2.65 trillion. So uncle Joe could be out there talking about trains, planes and automobiles and how the GOP helped him and it was a bipartisan effort, and blah, blah, blah, blah blah. So he could be out there talking about trains, planes and automobiles but wait, that's a name of a movie. But hey, joe Biden could say hey, that was, uh, that's my Joe Biden moment. You have to give me, you have to give me some space here so he could even use that phrase Trains, planes and automobiles. Guys, no joke.

Speaker 1:

But seriously, we could and we did ask the question last time are roads, bridges, public transit, broadband internet expansion coming along at record rates in our country? Have we seen vast swaths of our nation's infrastructure improved greatly? Well, not so much, and there's a reason for that. Last time we shared this crazy quote that comes to us from, of all places, cnn you know that bastion of right-wing media coverage down there in atlanta. Cnn said of this specific bill, this specific bill, this, if we include the aforementioned 235 billion in additional funding for transportation infrastructure, plus the $126 billion for building housing units, the $112 billion to build public schools and improve community college facilities, then the $111 billion for water infrastructure and the $100 billion for digital infrastructure. And stay with me the $100 billion for digital infrastructure. And stay with me the 100 billion for power infrastructure. That all accounts for about 30% of the 2.65 trillion plan as announced by the White House. Holy smokes, smokes. It accounts for just 30 percent of the 2.65 trillion. With at funding plan announced by the white house, just 30 percent is going towards actual infrastructure. Barack, hey man, hold my beer. I spent more money than you, faster than you, with no results and only a rapid rise in inflation. So, brock, hold my beer.

Speaker 1:

So that's just a quick summary of what we talked about in part one, but let's continue with just three other reasons why Joe Biden will try to make the case to the American people that he should be reelected. But in fact, he is actually quickly becoming the worst president in US history, even beating out James Buchanan for the top spot. You might think I'm joking, but allow me to explain. The number three reason Joe Biden will try to run for reelection is saying hey, man, I ended the war in Afghanistan. I ended the war in Afghanistan. I can't believe the administration is going to try and make this claim, but they're starting. It's beyond ludicrous that he would even try to bring up this subject and allow Americans to remember the absolute debacle that was and has been his administration in all areas of foreign policy. It's beyond indefensible. Just some quick facts about the whole charade that we've covered in numerous podcast episodes from this microphone. Thirteen US service members did not have to die at the hands of this president because of his incompetence.

Speaker 1:

The withdrawal was very rushed and chaotic. There's numerous books to talk about this. A withdrawal could have been conducted much better, more effectively, without giving up billions, billions, with a B of dollars of hardware to America's enemies and leaving behind a state of the art military base in Bagram, for which now the Chinese have taken it over. They actually took it over in less than three months after leaving. Afghanistan is now once again a breeding ground for terrorism. So we didn't learn anything after 20 years of trying to win that war. So we didn't learn anything after 20 years of trying to win that war.

Speaker 1:

Joe Biden has created a situation where America's reputation with its allies has suffered greatly, despite all of his back slapping, all of his attaboys, all of his apologizing for everything America has ever done or didn't do. America has ever done or didn't do since the abrupt pullout with our even our closest allies, the Brits and the Canadians, who, during the pullout, was so shocked very shocked about how quickly it happened, that they're not even sure if they can trust the United States. That's how bad the reputation has gotten with our allies. So Joe Biden can say hey Brock, hey man, hold my beer, in fact James Buchanan. He can even say that to James Buchanan hold my beer, man, I'm Joe Biden. I can ruin more things faster in just one area of foreign policy than both of you combined, because I've never been right on any foreign policy decision since I ever even came to Washington DC in 1972. So hold my beer Now.

Speaker 1:

The number four reason Joe Biden is going to try and win reelection is he's going to come out and say we've set ambitious goals for reducing carbon emissions. We're aiming for a 50% reduction from the 2005 levels by 2030. And we have greatly accelerated and expanded renewable energy sources, moving away from the reliance on those dreaded fossil fuels. I mean, I did my best to get through that talking point without laughing, because that is pure rubbish right there by any measure in the energy world. Everyone knows this policy is not going to be close to being solvent or workable. This was a complete gift to the radical Democrats with their green energy agenda.

Speaker 1:

Let's set the record straight with some facts. Gasoline has risen by 48% because of this administration. You can't blame that on anything else. That's just bad, horrific energy policy. And because of bad energy policies, everything else has been affected. Food inflation up 25.8%. To make that real, you pay $100 in 2020 for those groceries and now you're paying 125 dollars. That's the highest rate of inflation since 1982. Health care costs rising rapidly, more than at any time in the last decade, jumping from 5.4 to 8.5 percent in 2024 reports that comes to us from Reuters. Why? Well, due to medical inflation, soaring demand for weight loss drugs and wider availability of high price gene therapies. Huh, what are the average employees at most companies taking these medications? Is there a whole rush of people going out and getting gene therapies? Evidently so. It's a crazy, crazy world, but that is the world our leaders have created for us. Joe Biden's reckless spending will ensure we have inflation around to stay.

Speaker 1:

But let's get back to energy. Just one legitimate question on this what happened to the Keystone Pipeline, because this is, in its essence, a microcosm, a nutshell of how bad this administration is. Weren't we supposed to bring in some 830,000 barrels per day from Alberta, canada, to Nebraska and then down to the Gulf of Mexico for shipping? Best reports back then was that it would contribute about 3.4 billion to our country's gross domestic product. So what happened? Joe Biden promptly canceled the Keystone pipeline on day one of his presidency. He did it by executive action. What's the ramification of that cancellation?

Speaker 1:

Now, in 2024, tmx is the new company in Canada and it is shipping the same oil west, not south, but west to the Pacific Ocean, but west to the Pacific Ocean. For who to pick up? Which country? China. Way to go, joe. Here's the news article from Reuters Certainly not a right-wing news site. Tmx also will make Canadian crude quote re-exports from the Gulf Coast less viable, squashing a trend that has gained momentum in recent years and increasing shipments of Canadian oil to China, said Matt Smith, lead oil analyst for Americas at Kepler. 100,000 barrels per day of Canadian crude has been re-exported from the US Gulf Coast, up from some 73,000 barrels per day in 2019, kepler data showed China is currently the leading destination for these Canadian re-exports taking in some now 194,000 barrels per day. In August, heavy Canadian crude will still make it to the US Gulf to be used in refineries there, smith added, and the region could see an uptick in Latin American crude being displaced from the US West Coast crude by TMX barrels. So way to go, joe. So way to go, joe. You're now allowing China to get more oil per day to the tune of 194,000 barrels per day as of August of this past year, in 2023.

Speaker 1:

So, barack, wait, wait, wait, change that. Let's say james buchanan, hold my beer man. Hold my beer, because I'm joe biden. I can ruin an energy sector faster than you can. Yes, even when back in our country, when it was only driven by coal and steam, I can still ruin it faster than you can. Hey, james, I know you're our number 15th president of the United States, but you were only bad because you didn't do anything for four years leading up to the civil war. I'm actively doing things to hurt my country. I'm literally giving oil to the Chinese, no joke. So hold my beer, man.

Speaker 1:

And finally, our fifth reason Joe Biden will try to make the case to the American public that he should be reelected, is he's going to say I've been rebuilding alliances all around the world. Uncle Joe Biden will say he has made considerable efforts to restore and strengthen alliances with key global partners, including NATO and the European Union, which had experienced strains under the previous administration. His approach to foreign policy emphasizes diplomacy and multilateral cooperation, and this administration couples that with just saying last week we will halt, halt any weapon sales to Israel, because we need balance and diplomacy in the region. Hey Barack, hold my beer. James Cannon, hold my beer. I can be the worst ally to Israel and conduct the most anti-Israel policies since the Jewish state came into being in 1941. Or 1948, rather 1948. You say no way, oh way, oh, sir, yes, sir, that has been terrible. In fact. Let's dig in to this and forget about James Buchanan for this discussion. Foreign policy at the time, during his administration, wasn't that important. The last 75 years I'll run through a brief overview of just some administrations both Democrat and Republican, to be fair since 1948 that have experienced notable tensions with Israel and which could be perceived as being anti-Israel, and then we will compare them. We'll compare them to what Uncle Joe is doing in his first four years. Let's go through them one by one and provide details.

Speaker 1:

Eisenhower administration 1953 to 1961. We have the Suez crisis in 1956. The Eisenhower administration pressured Israel Eisenhower was a Republican if you didn't know. And during the Suez crisis, the Eisenhower administration pressured Israel Eisenhower was a Republican, if you didn't know. And during the Suez crisis, the Eisenhower administration pressured Israel, along with the United Kingdom and France, to withdraw from Egyptian territory following the Suez crisis, marking a significant moment of US-Israeli tension. Now, most likely that was a mistake on behalf of US foreign policy, but we can understand. President Eisenhower had to make a tough call. Hard call, that's understandable. We don't agree with it, but we can understand the methodology behind the decision.

Speaker 1:

Fast forward to the Carter administration 1967 to 1981, peace process pressure. President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, played a pivotal role in the Camp David Accords which led to the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. Now, while this was a significant achievement for peace, carter absolutely pressured Israel to make tons of concessions, some very, very tough and certainly not friendly. So this was another mistake, most likely on behalf of US foreign policy. But President Carter wanted to get a peace deal done and he did. Camp David Accords were signed into, ratified in terms of treaty as a treaty. George H W Bush administration 1989 to 1993. Correction, so we have the loan guarantees dispute. The administration had a public dispute with Israel over settlement policies in the occupied territories, leading to a delay in US loan guarantees to Israel, which could be seen as a significant moment of tension. Now, most likely, this again it was a mistake on behalf of UN, u S foreign policy. But we can understand. Again, bush 41, having to make a tough call on that foreign policy decision. It's kind of understandable. Again, we don't agree with it, but we understand it.

Speaker 1:

The Obama administration 2009-2017. The Iran nuclear deal and its settlements. The Obama administration negotiated the Iran nuclear deal, the JCPOA. It was viewed by the Israeli government as a threat to its security, and rightly so. Additionally, tensions were exacerbated by many disagreements over Israeli settlement expansion, culminating in the US abstaining from a UN Security Council resolution this was terrible Condemning Israeli settlements in December of 2016. It was a horrific deal. The Iran nuclear deal was horrific, worst deal in the history of the US presidency towards Israel. But wait, hey Barack Obama, hey man, hold my beer. I'm Joe Biden. I can trump you. I will be the worst president to Israel because, just after Israel's version of nine 11 on October 7th 2023, joe Biden says I'm not going to sell you any more weapons After their 9-11. We're not even a year removed from their 9-11.

Speaker 1:

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th 2023.

Speaker 1:

It was Israel's 9-11.

Speaker 1:

Their 9-11. Think about that Now. Why do I say this? Because the scale and shock and impact of the attack of Hamas on Israeli society on October 7th 2023, draws tons of parallels, so many parallels, to the September 11th 2023. Draws tons of parallels, so many parallels, to the September 11th 2001 attack, terrorist attack on the United States. Just think about this. The October 7th attack by Hamas resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis which, given Israel's smaller population, is proportionally much, much higher than the nearly 3000 deaths in the nine 11 attacks in the U? S. This has been likened to the equivalent of nearly 40,000 deaths in the United States. To put it in comparison 40,000 deaths, that's a staggering amount of people.

Speaker 1:

The attack itself involved a combination of rocket fire, infiltration by land, sea and air the taking of rocket fire, infiltration by land, sea and air, the taking of hostages, which added to the complexity and the horror of the event, which is very similar to the shock of evil that we experienced on 9-11 here in the United States, someone thinking of hijacking airplanes, commercial airliners and flying them into skyscrapers to knock them down. The mind of evil knows no limit. It's disgusting. Now think about the context of those events. Both events caused profound national trauma, the sense of vulnerability In Israel. The attack was a significant intelligence and defense failure, similar to the surprise and shock experience in the United States on 9-11. The psychological impact on the Israeli population has been immense. Almost every family has been affected, either directly or indirectly.

Speaker 1:

Now think about the responses from leadership. Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, vowed to destroy Hamas, drawing parallels to the US response to al-Qaeda post-9-11 by President Bush in 2001. The attack has led to a significant military response from Israel, and rightly so. Extensive bombing campaigns in Gaza have been compared to the US military actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. So for Joe Biden to discount and play games with the Israeli people and government during this most difficult time, it's just unthinkable. If our friends and allies played games with us during our first year after 9-11, just think about how we would react. Would we understand where the Israeli population is coming from? It's their 9-11. The profound shock and national trauma experienced by Israeli families is absolutely lost on the American public because Joe Biden doesn't recognize it. Furthermore, israel's 9-11 just happened.

Speaker 1:

Like I said less than a year ago, and now Joe Biden is playing funny business. I said less than a year ago, and now Joe Biden is playing funny business. Joe Biden saying hold my beer, my beer, brock, I can withhold vital weapons to Israelis less than a year after their nine 11 moment. In fact, after months of Democrats and Biden himself hammering the GOP to give money to our allies abroad, we must give, have to give them money. Ukraine and Israel. We got to give them money.

Speaker 1:

Now Joe Biden is going to withhold weapons sales. You just got to be kidding me. I, joe Biden, am quickly becoming the worst president in American history, because I've long passed Jimmy Carter. I blew past him in less than two years. You say, maybe uncle Joe has just lost his step here and there and that might be cause for all these actions. Oh no, oh no, no, no, no. This is Joe Biden at his core. This is Joe Biden as the man he is. This is, in fact, joe Biden, his character.

Speaker 1:

After months of haggling over the amount and the type of weapons, joe Biden decides to withhold offensive weapons from Israel since January of 2024. Congress acts and now Joe Biden doesn't want to retroactive those weapon sales anymore. Shame on you, mr President, shame, shame. And here's the real detail that everyone is missing. What type of weapons is the president withholding? Wall Street Journal did great legwork on reporting this. The weapons are joint direct attack munitions about 6,500 of them. Why are you doing this, mr President? Doing this, mr President, because civilian casualties, with military operations happening in the Gaza city of Rafah, could be ramped up, and Joe Biden is saying that these civilian casualties can't happen Now.

Speaker 1:

Rafah is a southern city in Gaza. It has indeed over a million civilians that have been holed up there. But why is Hamas retreating to Rafah? Because precisely this is how they lie to the international community. This is what Hamas has been doing for over 25 years. They use civilians as human shields to protect themselves. This involves deliberate placement of non-combatants in and around clearly military targets. Example they fire rockets from civilian hospitals. Does Hamas this is all to deter Israel from targeting those areas?

Speaker 1:

You might ask why are we not told about these games that Hamas is playing? Because you have an international press corps that is radical and they sympathize with communism and socialism, which is what Hamas and radical terrorists believe they give a very slanted world to a very slanted coverage to world news. Now you might ask how can we even verify that? It's a great question. Israel has gone the next step, or two or three, and he even asked groups such as NATO and the EU to come in and observe what they're seeing on their satellite Certainly not the bastions of Jew loving folks in Europe, nato or the EU, but even they are saying, after they are given the information, satellite photos and videos, they watch how Israel conducts its on-the-ground verifications and then NATO and the EU independently verify those After all that's completed. Even NATO and the EU are standing by claims made by Israel that this is authentically true. There was rockets coming from civilian hospitals. Hamas is using civilians as human shields.

Speaker 1:

So, mr President, are you dumb? As you look what gives, as you look what gives? Because what Israel is actually asking for? What kind of weapons they're requesting? The 6,500 joint direct attack munitions have GPS kits on them, so that makes them accurate up to 10 feet. So they are exactly what the president should be selling them, because this will help to reduce civilian casualties in urban warfare combat situation.

Speaker 1:

So, mr Biden, your soapbox and your moral stance on these weapons. Your supposed moral stance is actually without merit. Again, you are a fraud. You continue to lie about everything. Now Rafa will be more bloody and more costly because of your lack of moral clarity how despicable. Costly because of your lack of moral clarity. How despicable, In fact. Let me share a story with you, because this goes to the core and character of Joe Biden and why he is the worst president in the history of the country. That's no joke.

Speaker 1:

This article comes to us out of the newspaper Israel Hamon I think I'm pronouncing that correct, israel Hamon and the author is Barry Schwartz, I believe. Let's go to this article written back in March 22nd. Joe Biden is once again at loggerheads with Israel. This has been brewing for decades. Biden infamously omitted telling Benjamin Netanyahu BB I love you, but I don't agree with the damn thing you say. Biden seems to have learned nothing from his personal contentious relationship with Israel going back decades. Biden's animus towards Israel has not been confined to Netanyahu. Biden's long and contentious relationship with Israel goes back to June 1982, when, as a senator, biden threatened another Israeli prime minister I'm not going to beg him withholding back USAID to Israel, which caused Began to respond.

Speaker 1:

Don't threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a proud Jew with 3,700 years of civilized history. Nobody came to our aid when we were dying in the gas chambers and ovens. Nobody came to our aid when we were striving to create our country. We paid for it, we fought for it, we died for it. We will stand by our principles. We will defend them and, when necessary, we will die for them again, with or without your aid. For them again, with or without your aid. Senator Biden reportedly banged on the table with his fist, to which Begin retorted. This desk is designed for writing, not for fist. Don't threaten us with slashing aid. Do you think that because the US lends us money, it is entitled to impose on us what they think we must do? We are grateful for the assistance we have received, but we are not to be threatened. I am a proud Jew. 3,000 years of culture are behind me and we will not be frightened with threats. Take note, we do not want a single soldier of yours to die for us.

Speaker 1:

It seems Senator Biden failed to learn from this experience. The article goes on as a fledgling senator Biden made his first trip to Israel in 1972, just days before the Arab attack against Israel and the Yom Kippur War. Biden visited a worried Golda Meir, having come from Egypt. Golda Meir having come from Egypt, no-transcript. Biden was wrong. 40 days later, egypt, syria, jordan launched their war against the Jewish state on Judaism's holiest day, yom Kippur.

Speaker 1:

Biden had been deceived by the Arabs and brought a deceptive message to Israel. Some people are saying he is doing the same today. Some people are saying he is doing the same today. Now, coming back to our world in 2024, joe Biden has certainly passed Jimmy Carter for the worst presidency in the modern era. For sure, biden, on a hot mic moment, is heard telling secretary of state Blinken and secretary of transportation Buttigieg. So Blinken and Buttigieg. Biden is on a hot mic moment and he's heard telling them hey, I told BB that you and I are going to have a come to Jesus meeting. Really, really, mr President, you're going to tell an Israeli Jew about a coming to Jesus moment? You truly are a village idiot.

Speaker 2:

Truly.

Speaker 1:

A village idiot. There's no way, two ways about it. Now the Wall Street Journal editorial page noted this quote Mr Biden's threat to pull the plug on the US, main ally in the Middle East, is a watershed moment that will radiate across the world. Other allies will wonder what they are risking if they cast their lot with the United States. End quote. Yes, israel needs to finish the job in Gaza. Netanyahu needs to tell Biden to pound sand and Netanyahu absolutely should never agree to a Palestinian state if terrorists are still in Gaza territory. Period Now. As a side note from the Senate floor last week, this was said. Quote nations on the fence will look elsewhere for their own security and our enemies will be emboldened. End quote.

Speaker 1:

That came from the GOP minority leader and, as you know, I don't agree with Leader McConnell about much of anything anymore. He's been a horrific leader, but in this case that's an apt summary of Mr Biden's weak and misguided foreign policy, which has been the worst in American history. Joe Biden's a fraud. He's a joke. He has been the worst in American history. Joe Biden's a fraud, he's a joke. He's the worst president in American history and he's coming for you, james Buchanan. In fact, he's telling Barack. Hey, man, hold my beer Now.

Speaker 1:

This election is happening in just over some 170 days. This will be a pivotal, most pivotal election for the direction of our country. Our country will not survive another four years of this guy. I'm sorry it won't Now. I don't like Donald Trump, but Joe Biden is clearly and certainly the worst president in the last 150 years, for sure. So please pray for our country. Please pray that we find some way to turn the American Republic around. The far left radicals have taken over the country.

Speaker 1:

We will have our first debate debate, which is scheduled to take place on june 27, 2024, will be hosted by cnn and held in atlanta, georgia. The debate will start at 9 pm eastern. The moderators for the debate have been chosen jake tapper and dana bash of cnn. Gosh can't believe trump would agree to these two moderators, but whatever, it's not the smartest ball, but in the in the box. So in today's Liberty minute, joe Biden is quickly becoming the worst president in the history of the United States. He has no successes, zero successes in the last four years. No improvement, nothing, zero, zilch. So please, please, pray for his soul, because he's not even a good Catholic. His spiritual life is a mess, crazy mess. So please pray for his soul and please pray for our country during this darkest of times.
